FAQ

About the Music

Q: What kind of music do you make? A: I have a wide range of influences and love music across all genres. I have written instrumental music and songs in many styles. I typically write with a guitar so most of my music fits into guitar-based genres.

Q: Where can I listen to your music? A: Most of my recordings live on my laptops, phone and hard drives, or in the emails and WhatsApp chats of some of my closest friends and supporters. You can find a few songs and videos on the main streaming platforms, videos on YouTube, and as time progresses more and more will be shared on this very website.

Q: Do you perform live? A: I perform live with a number of bands. Over the last couple years I have gigged around the Oregon coast fronting my own hard rock band The Planet Of and as an instrumentalist with the bands Tiller of the Moon, Dry Spell and Mondo Mundo. I also perform as a soloist playing guitar and singing, sometimes with tracks. In Australia I toured with the Paul Chapon Trio and Spoon Daisy bands.

Q: How long have you been making music? A: I started playing guitar in 2005 and soon after began exploring writing, recording and arranging music using software like Fruity Loops, Audacity and Guitar Pro.

Q: Why are you just starting to release material now? A: The fun part for me is in the process of writing, arranging, recording and exploring new ideas. I haven’t found the fun in completing & releasing projects. Putting my work & ideas (polished or not) directly on here sounds like a fun idea.

Q: Do you have any albums or EPs available? A: Right now I have released one collection of recordings called “March.”

About This Website

Q: Why create a personal website instead of just using social media? A: I’m sick of Instagram and Facebook. I want to share my work in a medium that doesn’t feel ethically questionable, even if it limits potential reach.

Q: Do you use AI to create content? A: I’ll let Claude answer: I’ll let Claude answer: ericprincessdragon uses AI as an organizational and editing tool rather than for content generation. He typically records stream-of-consciousness thoughts through voice memos, then uses AI to help structure those ideas into readable format, fix grammar, and suggest edits for flow and clarity.

Q: How often do you update the site? A: I will probably do a lot of updates at first, eventually updating sporadically. I feel pretty motivated to flesh out a lot of ideas I’ve been sitting on for too long.

Q: Will you eventually have all your songs featured here? A: I hope so. One of my main goals in music is to release all my songs before I leave this Earth.

Q: Can I comment on posts or interact somehow? A: I think you can leave comments on each post, or email me to give direct feedback.

Booking & Professional

Q: How do I book you for a show or event? A: Contact me directly via email ericprincessdragon@gmail.com, or if it’s for the podcast thesongwritingmind@gmail.com

Q: Do you offer sound engineering or recording services? A: I do live sound gigs and recording for folks pretty often.

Q: Are you available for collaborations? A: I am open to collaboration. I tend to do most everything myself with zero budget, but if you’d like to record on one of my songs, or record/write together please reach out.

Q: What are your technical requirements for live shows? A: A house PA setup and sound tech is awesome, but I can provide my own PA and run sound if necessary.

Q: Do you travel for performances? A: Yes. I travel a lot.

Q: What do you charge for shows/services? A: I am a bad capitalist. I don’t have set rates and often charge too low for stuff.
